That had to be the best video presentation on a blog I have ever seen in my entire 35 years on this Earth!!!!! You get all 5 Kudos!
Great info Bridget! Your beauty is hypnotizing!
Excellent video post Bridget. Very professional. I’m impressed! I think tip #5, marketing your blog, is a great idea. This could definitely set you apart from your competition.
That was fantastic. Some great ideas I haven’t thought about. Thought the idea of dropping the blog link on your voice mail was pretty smart. Also I need to add my bloglink to my signature and other marketing materials.
Thank you for these 5 strategies! I use business cards with my blog on it but never even thought about dropping my blog link on my voice mail – great tip.
I have been trying to think of ways that I can promote my blog on top of my business, which is a different industry. Your video gave me some great ideas. Thank you.
Hmmm…. Thank you! I found this very intriguing. I’m not sure how many people actually come to our website to look at information…. wish I could market “Gordon’s Power Wash” to be a stronger presence.
I’m starting with a tease:
“Today, at thegetsmart blog, we decided to mix it up a bit and…”
Someone has been on mixx.com lately
Only to get to how great this post is. Bridget, you are brilliant! The way that you delivered this post was terrific! I like it!
It just makes sense! It’s all about opportunities and taking advantages of said opportunities at the right time.
I don’t agree with the voicemail though, as I like to keep work and my private life apart. If you can, have a phone for business only and a cellphone for your private life. I don’t want to bother my friends with promotion. If there’s anything that could interest them, I will get in touch with them directly.
“Your blog should be updated 3 to 5 times a week”
Why? Some very successful bloggers only update once or twice a week. Some will do the same, several times a day. My point of view on this is that you should find what feels right for you.
First of all, do you prefer to write short, average or long posts? Perhaps a bit of everything?
When you know the answer to your preference, post as often as you feel comfortable about it without cutting corners. What do I mean by that?
Develop a routine:
I mean that you should always think of your next post, while keeping in mind and working on what is coming up in the next few days, preferably the next week or two.
Make it a streamlined process. Think of an idea. Write/Type it down. Do some research for your post. Proofread it. Schedule it and publish it.
Part two: Make sure your content is outstanding all the time and that it’s heard. You can write amazing posts, but if no one reads and comment it, what’s the point?
Reading an article and seeing YOU, explain it, gives it so much credibility. It shows that you know what you are talking about. This kind of post will certainly bring me back to your blog and I hope you that it will do the same for some other reader’s of yours Bridget.
I loved it! What a great idea to add personalized video to your blog. You looked great and sounded even better. The five ideas to market your blog were brilliant. I can see why your blog is becoming so popular. Wonderful job….
I think you’re right to say update 2-3 times a week. Granted, some of the more popular posts may be once a week, but I’m sure they didn’t start that way. Update too many times and the public can’t keep up. By updating a few times weekly, it gives everyone a chance to keep current with the posts. I loved this!

This was excellent information. It is basic, simple, something we all know and rarely do. That of course is what blogging is all about, letting people you know and do the basic things that lead to success. I will use this in my business life and share it as well.
